About the role
You will be working with vulnerable young people whose lives have been impacted by trauma. You will be challenged and there will be tough moments but you will know that you are making a difference to a young persons life. On a daily basis, you will assist the young people in supported independent living and foster care, with their physical and emotional well being. This can include everything from helping them with the preparation of meals, to just being there for them when times are tough. There will also be paperwork and administration tasks for you to attend to, as you administer program records and maintain strict documentation ( that meets legal requirements).
You are passionate about the welfare of children and achieving the absolute best outcomes for them.
You are often praised for your compassionate nature and approachability and should have experience with adolescents with significant emotional and psychological support needs. You are a caring and positive role model with the following experience:
- A Certificate III in Protective Care, Youth or Community Services;
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge working in residential care; and/or working with young people in a child protection or community service context, over a minimum period of one (1) year.
Importantly, you will be someone who closely aligns with our organisational values of: Unconditional Love, Continual Innovation, Mutual Trust and Wise Stewardship.
